Our Privacy Policy
We design our apps to keep your data private and under your control. Your data stays on your device or in your personal iCloud account. We have no servers, no analytics, and no third-party trackers.
Mobile Innovations LLC ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website and our mobile applications.
Information We Collect
Mobile Innovations does not operate any servers and does not collect, store, or process your app data. Everything you enter into one of our apps stays on your device or in your personal Apple iCloud account.
The only categories of information that may exist:
- On-device app data: Information you enter into the app (transactions, budgets, lab results, etc.) stays on your device. It is never transmitted to us.
- iCloud / CloudKit data: When syncing is enabled, your data is stored in your private iCloud database under your Apple ID. Apple manages the storage; we cannot read it.
- Support communication: If you email us at feedback@mobileinnov.com, your message and email address are visible to our support team.
- Basic website data: Our marketing website (mobileinnov.com) is hosted on Firebase Hosting. Standard server logs (IP, browser type, page accessed) may be retained briefly for security and performance purposes. The privacy policy page itself collects nothing beyond these standard logs.
How We Use Information
We use information only to operate and improve our apps:
- Provide core app functionality
- Enable syncing via iCloud / CloudKit
- Improve app performance and reliability
- Respond to customer support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
iCloud and CloudKit
Many of our apps use Apple iCloud and CloudKit to sync your data across your devices. Data is stored in your private CloudKit database under your Apple ID, on Apple's infrastructure.
Mobile Innovations cannot read your iCloud-synced app data. Apple processes the data solely to provide the syncing service. Sync can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings > [your Apple ID] > iCloud > Apps Using iCloud.
Apple Health and Clinical Health Records (NormIQ)
This section applies only to NormIQ — Lab Results Tracker, which integrates with the Apple HealthKit and Clinical Health Records APIs to help you track and understand your lab results.
What we access:
- Lab Result Records (
HKClinicalType.labResultRecord) — read-only, only when you explicitly tap "Import from Apple Health" and grant permission. - Medication Records (
HKClinicalType.medicationRecord) — read-only, only when you enable "Medication Sync" in Settings and grant permission. - Selected HealthKit quantity types (e.g. blood glucose) — read and/or write only when you explicitly enable the feature.
How it is used:
- Imported lab observations are saved to your local NormIQ library and synced to your private iCloud database. They are used only within NormIQ for trends, comparisons, AI summaries, retest reminders, and health goals.
- Medications are held in memory only — never persisted to disk or iCloud — and are used to refine retest timing and flag possible drug-lab interactions on the panel detail screen.
What we do NOT do:
- We do not upload your health data to any server. There is no Mobile Innovations backend.
- We do not sell, share, or disclose your health data to any third party.
- We do not use your health data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the in-app feature.
- We are not a healthcare provider and are not a HIPAA covered entity. NormIQ is an educational personal-tracking tool, not a medical device.
Your control: You can revoke clinical-records access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > NormIQ. Disabling Medication Sync immediately clears any in-memory medication data. Deleting NormIQ removes all locally cached data.
On-Device AI (Apple Intelligence)
Where supported, some of our apps offer AI-powered features (such as panel summaries and conversational chat in NormIQ, or finance insights in Easy Expenses Tracker 2).
All AI inference happens on your device using Apple Intelligence (the Foundation Models framework). Prompts you send and the responses generated never leave your iPhone, are not transmitted to Mobile Innovations, and are not sent to any third-party AI service (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google).
We do not log or retain AI conversations. Each chat session lives in memory only for the duration of the session.
Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
Some of our apps offer optional paid features through Apple's In-App Purchase system. NormIQ Pro is an auto-renewable yearly subscription with an introductory free trial. Other apps may offer one-time purchases.
All payment processing is handled by Apple via StoreKit. We never see or store your payment information. Apple shares anonymized transaction status with the app (purchased / not purchased) so it can unlock features.
To view or cancel an active subscription, open Settings > [your Apple ID] > Subscriptions. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Free-trial users are not charged if they cancel before the trial ends.
Some users qualify for permanent free access (for example, users who installed NormIQ before July 1, 2026 receive Pro at no cost as a "founding member" benefit). This eligibility is verified locally on your device via Apple's StoreKit and does not require any data to be sent to us.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your personal data. Specifically:
- We do not sell data to advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not embed third-party analytics SDKs (no Firebase Analytics, no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no Crashlytics, no Sentry).
- We do not embed advertising SDKs.
- The only data flows that exist are between your device and Apple's iCloud / App Store services, under your Apple ID, governed by Apple's privacy policy.
We may disclose limited information if compelled by a valid legal process (subpoena, court order) — but because we have no servers and store no app data, in practice there is nothing to disclose.
Data Retention
App data you create is retained on your device and in your iCloud account for as long as you choose to keep it. Deleting an item in the app deletes it across your synced devices. Uninstalling the app does not delete iCloud-synced data; you can remove it from iOS Settings > [Apple ID] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.
Support emails sent to us are retained only as long as needed to resolve your request, then deleted.
Security
Your app data is protected by the security of your device (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID) and by Apple's iCloud encryption. Data stored in CloudKit private databases is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple.
We do not transmit or store your data ourselves, so there are no Mobile Innovations servers that could be breached. We recommend using a strong Apple ID password and enabling two-factor authentication to protect your iCloud-synced data.
Your Choices
- Edit or delete any data directly within the app at any time.
- Disable iCloud syncing at any time in iOS Settings > [Apple ID] > iCloud.
- Revoke HealthKit or Clinical Health Records access in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings > [Apple ID] > Subscriptions.
- Delete the app to remove all locally cached data.
- Contact feedback@mobileinnov.com for support or data questions.
California and EU Privacy Rights
Residents of California (CCPA / CPRA), the European Union (GDPR), the United Kingdom (UK GDPR), Virginia, Colorado, and other jurisdictions with similar laws have specific rights regarding personal data, including:
- Right to know what personal data is collected.
- Right to access a copy of personal data.
- Right to delete personal data.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal data.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data.
- Right to data portability.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
Because Mobile Innovations does not collect, store, or process personal data on any server, we have nothing in our possession to access, port, correct, or delete. All app data is held by you in your device and your iCloud account, and you can exercise these rights directly within the app or through Apple. We do not sell or share personal data.
If you have questions about exercising these rights, contact us at feedback@mobileinnov.com.
Children's Privacy
Our apps are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact feedback@mobileinnov.com and we will take appropriate steps.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be reflected with a new "Effective date" at the top of this page. Material changes will also be communicated through the app or via an App Store update note where appropriate.
